Task 4: Evaluate Training
It is critical for training efforts to be evaluated to ensure that trainings achieve predetermined goals and objectives. Prepare simple evaluation forms that can be answered on a rating scale from 1 to 5, where 1 = strongly agree and 5 = strongly disagree. Training evaluation forms can address such issues as the following.
Evaluation of Event
Were the training goals and objectives met?
Was the program organized effectively?
Did the handouts enhance the training?
Did the audiovisual materials enhance learning?
Was the content applicable to my work?
Did the program increase my interest in the subject matter?
Did the program increase my understanding of the subject matter?
Evaluation of Speaker
Did the speaker clearly communicate the subject matter?
Did the speaker demonstrate knowledge of the subject matter?
Did the speaker make good use of examples and illustrations?
Did the speaker demonstrate enthusiasm?
Did the speaker relate the training to the training objectives?
Open-Ended Questions
Did the program meet your educational needs? Please explain.
What did you like best about the training?
What did you like the least about the training?
What changes in the content, if any, would you recommend?
What changes in format, if any, would you recommend?
What issues would you like to see addressed in future trainings?
